Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies evening gowns available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female are featured on the left and right sides of a Christmas tree which is ornamented with ladies necklaces. The left mannequin is dressed in a patterned evening gown, with fabric appliques on the hip and bodice, and featured on the right mannequin is a floor-length evening gown, with a rushed bodice, and single strap; both mannequins feature ladies accessories which include opera length gloves, jewelry, evening bags and footwear. Similar accessories are also featured under the Christmas tree, and accompanying signage reads, "Added Splendor for Evening Elegance… beautiful additions for formal accessories, Accessories, First Floor." Also, signage affixed to the left rear of the display reads, "It's Christmas time at Hudson's… the store with the wonderful things; Long and Short… Full and Slim… these are the Variations for Evening Wear… You… and the occasion determine your choice… The Long Sheath, Gown Salon in the Woodward Shops… 7th Floor."
