Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies suiting available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins feature similar styles of ladies suiting which include an A-line, calf-length skirt, with box-style jacket which features front button enclosures, pocket detailing, and either full-length or three-quarter length sleeves. Ladies accessories are also featured on the mannequins and include handbags, hats, gloves, and footwear. A large ornamental gate is featured in the central rear background and includes an enlarged cover of 'Vogue' magazine which reads, "VOGUE Americana Number 1951, U.S.A. Heartbeat, February 1, 1951." Also, signage in the central foreground reads, "For Spring… Hudson's and Vogue Summarize The Changing Look, Trends that pace the evolution of American Fashion, The Box Jacket Suit, Fashion Suits in the Casual Shop, Woodward Shops, 7th Floor." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "2-5-51; 25159-x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
