Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies summertime fashions available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Five female mannequins are featured in the window, and each are dressed in differing styles of a daywear dress which include circle skirts with petticoats, cinched waists, printed fabrics, cap sleeves or halter tops. Accessories are also featured on the mannequins and include jewelry, gloves, and footwear. The ladies are accompanied by differing home goods displayed throughout the window, such as lighting fixtures, baskets, coffee pots, and ornamental glassware. Signage in the left foreground featured with a Native American statue reads, "Suburban Living, Easy-Going Fashions, Summery cottons, ____ate the charm of 1955's Sweet, ___ and pretty for a trip to the ____ a garden party, Misses Better Dresses, Third Level."
