Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies springtime dresses available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Four female mannequins are featured in the window display and all are wearing the same attire, which is an A-line dress, with embellishment on the skirt, a cinched waist with belt, button-front closure, lapel, and cap sleeves. Small corsages are affixed to the bodice or waistline of the dress. The ladies also feature accessories which include footwear, gloves, jewelry, and hats. Greenery ornaments the window. Signage in the central foreground reads, "Toby Tyler, Uses Fine Cotton Broadcloth for Swirl-Skirted Fashions, $7.95, Garden Frock Shop, Fifth Floor, Farmer." The company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." Differing dates are hand-written on the verso of the two copies, "March 1949" and "1952-1953." Also, stamped on the verso, "Davis B. Hillmer Commercial Photography, 8825 Second Ave., Detroit 2., Michigan., TR 5-7620; TR 2-8000."
