Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies cotton fashions available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured in the window display, each featuring ladies dresses and suiting; the left mannequin features a mid-calf length A-line skirt with a jacket which features button front closure, and cuffed sleeves. The right mannequin stands on an elevated platform and features a dress with an over skirt, the dress has a scoop neck, button front, and three-quarter length skirt, the over skirt is a lighter shade of fabric and is pulled to the side to reveal the straight skirt beneath. An over-sized scissors and panels of differing prints of fabrics are visible on the right side of the display. Signage in the foreground in front of the mannequins reads, "Inspiration Cottons, Created by Herbert Meyer a new fashion trend, Cotton suiting a year 'round fabric - solids $2.50 yard, Novelties metallic - multicolors $2.95 yard, Cotton Fabrics, 3rd Floor, Woodward Section D." The company name and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." The date is hand-written on the verso, "Aug. 1952."
