Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies daywear available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured on either side of an ornamented metal gate; the right mannequin is dressed in a straight mid-calf length skirt, with a cropped jacket, and polka-dot blouse with bow collar. Featured on the left mannequin is also a straight mid-calf length skirt with a cropped jacket, and large polka-dot blouse. The ladies are also featured with accessories which include handbags, hats, jewelry, and footwear. Affixed to the metal gate is a ladies handbag and signage which reads, "VOGUE, Americana Number 1951, U.S.A. Heartbeat, February 1, 1951." Also, signage in the foreground reads, "For Spring… Hudson's and Vogue Summarize, The Changing Look, Trends that pace the evolution of American Fashion, The Costume Look, Dress Plus Short Jacket, Green Room in the Woodward Shops… Seventh Floor."
