Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features a bride's trousseau and wedding night lingerie available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin stands on the left side of the window display dressed in an embellished dressing gown, and appears to be looking toward sleepwear, with ruffled bodice, and cinched at the waist with a satin bow, accompanied by a fur. Ladies hosiery and house shoes are also featured along with differing scents of perfumes. A gilded framed with the portrait of, "A Bride, 1905," is affixed to the rear of the display. Small signage in the far right corner reads, "Let Carolyn Chase, the Brides Secretary Plan Your Trousseau, Gown Shop, 6th Floor." Also, signage in the central foreground reads, "Bride's Week, Your Lingerie Trousseau - as important now as in mother's day - but styled for a 1941 spring bride, Lingerie Shop, Fifth Floor, Woodward." The photographic sequence number, date and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "18411-7x; 3-18-41; Davis B. Hillmer."
