Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features formal dresses for the mother of the bride, available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured in the display, and each are dressed in floor length A-line gowns with belted waists, scalloped edges, and lace tops. The ladies are accessorized with pearls, hats, and gloves. The window is ornamented with potted plants, and bars of music are affixed to the rear of the display. Signage in the central background reads, "Bride's Week - a Tradition at Hudson's, The Mothers Wear Important Occasion Dresses, keyed to their tastes, Bridal Salon, 6th Floor, Gratiot… Section D." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "2-23-51; 25165-5x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
