Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a window display which features mother of the bride fashions available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured in the display, and each are dressed in wedding fashions which include on the right mannequin a floor-length gown, with a lace overlay, three-quarter length sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, belted waist, and tulle embellishment. Featured on the left mannequin is an ankle-length organdy dress with a pleated square neckline, belted waist, and three-quarter length sleeves. The ladies are accessorized with a fur warp, hats, jewelry, a handbag, and satin footwear. Hanging from the ceiling and ornamenting the window is a bird cage surrounded by several laurel branches. Signage in the central foreground reads, "Bride's Week… a tradition at Hudson's, Mothers Grace the Day, in dresses chosen for flattery… dresses keyed to the formality of the wedding, the color scheme of the bridal party, Green Room in the Woodward Shops… 7th Floor." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "2-23-53; 25649-9x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
