Print. Sepia-toned photographic print of a window display which features ladies shoes available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two young female mannequins are featured in 1890s dresses in the left and right sides of the display, visible in the foreground in front of the young girls are varying styles of footwear from the 1880s and 1890s. Featured on the left and right sides of the display are modern styles of footwear including Mary Jane's, T-Straps, and Oxfords. Signage affixed to the rear of the display reads, "Extraordinary! Hudson's Spring Sale." Also signage in the central foreground reads, "Extraordinary! SPRING SALE, Misses' Shoe Fashions of Today, Contrasted with Shoes of Grandmother's Day, Fourth Floor, Grand River." The photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "17090."
