Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features ladies perfumes by Coty, available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured in the window, and each is draped with fabric; the left mannequin is suspended from the ceiling while the right stands adjacent to a fluted column. Upholstered cushions are featured on the left side of the window, slightly disguised by the shimmering powder which covers the floor. The cushions display bottles of perfume. Signage in the central foreground reads, "Poetry in Perfume… 'Muse' in the heart of Paris, Coty, First Floor, Woodward." Smaller signage accompanies the mannequins, the right sign featured at the mannequin's feet reads, "Clio, Muse of History, Costume by Norman Norell, Headdress by Lilly Dache." Signage in the background also visible at the feet of the mannequin reads, "Calliope, Muse of Eloquence and Heroic Poetry, Costume by Adrian, Headdress by Lilly Dace." The date, and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "6-24-46; 22492-5x."
