Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features ladies perfume, Desert Flower by Shulton, available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A framed Salvador Dali painting titled, "The Invisible Lovers," is featured in the center of the window. Signage beneath the framed painting reads, "One of series of oil painting by Salvador Dali inspired by the Western desert to interpret Desert Flower perfume. The artist interprets this painting as: 'Two Lovers are imprisoned in the mystery of limitless space, the romantic essence of the desert. From one of the fossilized footprints of the feminine lover is born the dandelion, the symbol of femininity and purity." Bottles of Desert Flower perfume are visible in the right foreground. Signage affixed to the central foreground reads, "Desert Flower by Shulton, Hudson's Aisle of Beauty, 1st Floor." The photographic sequence number, company name, and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "28620-4x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." Stamped on the verso is the photographer's location and telephone number, "Davis B. Hillmer Commercial Photography, 8825 Second Ave., Detroit 2, Michigan, TR 5-7620; TR 2-8000."
