A female mannequin is seated in U-shaped chair and appears to be looking at the display of hosiery. Ladies hose are featured in the foreground draped from ornamented metal tiers. Recessed displays in the background also feature ladies hose. Signage affixed to the rear of the display reads, "The New Colette, New Powdertones, Exceptionally Clear, Exquisitely Sheer, 3 Thread, 42 Gauge." Also, signage in the foreground reads, "The New Powdertones in Colette Sheer Chiffon, $1.85, First Floor, Farmer." The photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "13700; Davis B. Hillmer."
