Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features ladies hats available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Ladies mannequin heads are perched atop staggered clear poles; displaying the latest in ladies headwear. Visible at the base of the displays are ladies fur scarves. Ladies handbags and gloves are also featured in the window. Circular signage affixed to the rear of the display reads, "Hudson's, Fifty-Ninth Anniversary, Throughout September." Also, signage in the central foreground of the window reads, "Crowning Achievements, In an Event Packed with Outstanding Offerings, Choose Your Fall Hat from these Charmers in Fashionable Black, $6.45, Seventh Floor, Grand River." The photographic sequence number, and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "18294-4x; Davis B. Hillmer."
