Print. Black and white photographic print of an interior display which features the ladies lingerie department located on the 5th Floor of The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin stands atop a retail display dressed in an elongated corset with a crinoline skirt; a secondary mannequin torso features a similar style girdle and crinoline. Brassieres and girdles are visible atop the retail counter. Signage accompanying the mannequin and the display reads, "This is Elegance, the news Enhance Spandex of rose patterned Vyrene holds beautiful line without bones or bulky seams, $16.50 and $18.95, famous design elongates curves, never squeezes, lightweight, long lived, sizes 25 to 32." The photographic sequence number, company name, and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "28257-x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." The photographer's name and address are stamped on the verso, "Davis B. Hillmer Photographer, 8825 Second Ave., Detroit 2, Michigan."
