Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features an advertisement for nutritional food during World War II, at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Affixed to the rear of the display is a silhouette of a man eating, with a full-body silhouette of a family over his temple; the sign reads, "U.S. Needs US Strong; Eat Nutritional Food." A banner is hung from the upper left side of the ceiling and reads, "Feed Your Family Well." Featured atop fluted columns are differing types of food options, including milk and milk products, oranges-tomatoes-grapefruit, green or yellow vegetables, other vegetables - fruit, bread & cereal, meat-poultry-fish, eggs, butter & other spreads. Affixed across the foreground of the display is a sign which reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds." The date, photographic sequence number, and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "10-7-42; 18669; Davis B. Hillmer."
