Print. Black and white photographic print of an interior view of the Children's Barbershop, located inside The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store on the Fourth Floor of the Farmer Building. The barbershop featured chairs represented by a differing animal; the moose is visible in the foreground, and is accompanied by an elephant, a bull, a tiger, a bison, a bear, and a giraffe. The shop ceiling is painted to appear as a striped circus tent, and each station was adorned with scalloped trim, and playful imagery. The photographic sequence number, photographer's name, and geographic location are printed on the bottom of the recto, "12478; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer; Detroit."
