Black and white photographic print of a Kern's Department Store window display which features many different styles and types of women's footwear made by Peacock Shoes, the display includes day and evening footwear. A peacock is featured atop a perch on the right side of the window; displayed amongst the differing style of footwear. Pairs of ladies hosiery are also displayed amongst the shoes. Large signage affixed to the rear of the window reads, "Kern's Bigger Business Builders, DRIVE." Also, smaller signage in the central foreground of the window reads, "Announcing the Opening of our Peacock Shoe Shop, Kern's Sixth Floor, The Ernst Kern Co." The photographic sequence number, the photographer's name and geographic location are printed on the bottom of the recto, "13299; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
