Two sepia-toned photographs of a 4-story apartment building that were printed on a sheet of white paper for a property survey report. The building, Grace Apartments, was located on the north side of East Canfield Street between Woodward Avenue and John R Street in the Midtown section of Detroit.
The upper photo depicts an image that looks northeastward across East Canfield and shows a front corner view of the 4-story brick/stone apartment building. Parked cars can be seen on East Canfield Street in the lower foreground with the building visible in the center background. The side of a 3-story house can be seen at the left edge of the photo and the side of the Hotel Melrose can be seen at the right edge. A caption beneath the photo has black printed text that reads "View of Improvements."
The lower photo depicts an image that looks eastward along East Canfield Street and shows a front corner view of the 4-story brick/stone apartment building. Parked cars can be seen on both sides of East Canfield near the apartment building and the Hotel Melrose can be seen in the center background. Various commercial buildings are visible along the north side of the street in the far background. Residential houses can be seen along the south side of East Canfield at the right edge of the photo. A caption above the photo has black printed text that reads "Street View."
