The building, Grace Apartments, was located on the north side of East Canfield Street between Woodward Avenue and John R Street in the Midtown area of Detroit. The photo depicts an image that looks northeastward across East Canfield and shows a front corner view of the 4-story brick/stone apartment building. Parked cars can be seen on East Canfield Street in the lower foreground with the building visible in the center background. The side of a three-story house can be seen at the left edge of the photo and the side of the Hotel Melrose can be seen at the right edge.
