The template shown is a 4:1 magnification of the final dimensions. The form dressing wheel is mounted on the arbor and the entire unit is placed in a turning machine when it is in use. The blank forming wheel we purchased from the Simonds Abrasive Company.
The machine wheel dressing diamonds displayed are lapped on a special diamond lapping machine whereas the hand wheel dressing diamonds are simply rough diamonds mounted in a suitable holder.
