One black and white photograph of Toby David dressed as Captain Jolly, visiting a child who is in a hospital bed. David holds a stack of photographs against the bed frame and signs the top print. The child sits up in bed and looks down at the photograph as David signs. A cloth sack attached to the footboard of the bed holds a shoe box. In the background, floral curtains are seen on either side of a window. Grey text in bottom right of photograph reads, "Jerry Dempnock Associates." Green ink stamp on verso reads, "Photograph by Jerry Dempnock associates, Fine Arts Building, Detroit 26, Mich. Phone: 963-1788." Typewritten note which originally accompanied photograph reads, "3. Autograph -- Toby David, popular TV personality, autographs a picture of himself in the costume he wears as Captain Jolly on CKLW-TV, for Bryan Horton, another of the little patients in the children's ward who couldn't join the ambulatory children for gala ceremonies when Toby presented the 24-inch portable TV to Bon Secours Hospital."
