Print. A black and white photograph of the facade of the J.L. Hudson and Kern's Department Stores located on Woodward Avenue. The elevated street view of the photograph was taken from the northwest side of the thoroughfare. A group of men and women wait in line along the thoroughfare in front of Hudson's; buses, automobiles, and streetcars populate the avenue. Kern's Department Store is located directly south of Hudson's, as well as Bond Clothiers. The First National Building is visible on the east side of Woodward in the background. Written on verso, " Wood Ave. at J.L. Hudsons, 5:10 p.m. - 2-11-52."
