He poses beside a curtain wearing his Union frock coat, with a sash, holding his sabre in his left hand and a cap in his right. His belt buckle and gloves have been colored blue. "Mrs. Jane Paldi," "Washington St.," and detailed instruction for displaying the photo ending with "deliver at the Albion House. Mr. Wood" are handwritten on the verso.
