Print, Photographic
Black and white photo of the exterior of the Bond Clothes building on the east side of Woodward Avenue on the north end of Campus Martius, as viewed from Campus Martius, facing north, taken from a photo album of air conditioning installations done by the Detroit Ice Machine Company in 1937. The sign above the corner entrance advertises, "two trouser suits." Two men on ladders have climbed just above the store's sign on the west side of the building. The entrance to Kern's Basement Store is visible on the east end of the building's south face. Pedestrians in coats walk along the sidewalk around the building. "M-2023," is printed in the lower left corner of the photo, corresponding to the description "60 Tons Air Conditioning," on the table of contents page (2008.039.003). The photo is mounted on a linen photo album page with a flap on the left hand side with three holes for binding.
