Sepia-toned photo of an operating room in the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in Highland Park taken from a photo album of air conditioning installations done by the Detroit Ice Machine Company in 1937. A surgical light system is suspended above an operating table in the center of the image. Shelves within glass cabinets, filled with surgical tools, are on the wall on the left. A surgery observation deck window is in the wall on the right. "M-2027," is printed in the lower right corner of the photo, corresponding to the description "Operating Room Air Conditioned," on the table of contents page (2008.039.003). The photo is mounted on a linen photo album page with a flap on the left hand side with three holes for binding.
