Print, Photographic

Sepia-toned photo of the President Thomas Rinehart's office in a Highland Oil Corporation building, presumably their offices at 15093 Lasalle Street, south of Fenkell Street, taken from a photo album of air conditioning installations done by the Detroit Ice Machine Company in 1937. A wooden desk is positioned in the center of a wood paneled room. A brick fireplace is in on the right. Portraits of two women, bowling trophies, a deer head, a beer stein, and a vase are displayed on the mantel. A stuffed and mounted bird is displayed atop a cabinet on the far wall beneath a painted portrait of a man. A cane is hung from the coat rack in the far corner, beside a pair of vents. A console radio is in the corner of the room on the left. "M-2030," is printed near the lower right corner of the photo, corresponding to the description "President's Office Air Conditioned," on the table of contents page (2008.039.003). The photo is mounted on a linen photo album page with a flap on the left hand side with three holes for binding.
