Print, Photographic

Sepia-toned photo of three compressors in the corner of a machine room of the Shedd Products Company building taken from a photo album of air conditioning installations done by the Detroit Ice Machine Company in 1937. The room is large with several pipes running overhead, including one marked, "ammonia." A large box of electrical equipment is against the wall in the background, with a rubber mat positioned before it. Large windows cover the wall to the left. "M-2012," is printed near the lower right corner of the photo, corresponding to the description "3 - 15 Ton CO2 Compressors," on the table of contents page (2008.039.003). The photo is mounted on a linen photo album page with a flap on the left hand side with three holes for binding.
