Print, Photographic
Sepia-toned photo of the exterior of the Radner Beef Company, presumably on Deming Street, taken from a photo album of air conditioning installations done by the Detroit Ice Machine Company in 1937. The brick building has a loading bay set into its front face, and a three tiered stepped roof. A car is parked in a driveway on the left side of the building. "30128, S&W," is printed near the lower right corner of the photo, corresponding to the description "Slaughter House," on the table of contents page (2008.039.003). The photo is mounted on a linen photo album page with a flap on the left hand side with three holes for binding. A "Spence and Wyckoff, Commercial Photographers, Detroit," stamp is on the verso.
