Print. Black and white photograph of the window display at Himelhoch's Department Store. Displayed throughout the window are differing styles of handkerchiefs; the advertisement at the center of the display reads, "Kerchief Treasures from China." Also displayed, are street view images of China including a portrait of an emperor. Secondary signage on the bottom reads, "This Week Only! Special Chinese Handkerchief Event... A famous importer allotted us this grand collection of Exquisite Chinese handkerchiefs, purchased months before the handkerchief market was demoralized! Street floor." Printed in the lower right corner of the photograph is the sequence number and photographer's name, "17711-B, Davis B. Hillmer." Also, stamped on the verso is the name and location of photographer, "Davis B. Hillmer, Photographer of Architecture, 454 Colburn Place, West of 5800 Cass, Detroit, Michigan." The date has been hand-written on the verso, "October 4, 1937."
