Black and white photographic print depicting Wright, Kay and Company, the Central Savings Bank, the Detroit Opera House, Hugh Connolly, Jeweler, and Mitchell's as viewed from City Hall across Campus Martius, facing north east. Primrose and West's Minstrels are advertised at the Opera House. A horse-drawn wagon painted with a sign for Arnold and Company, as well as several other carriages, a cyclist, pedestrians, and a pair of electric streetcars--the Parker and Third Street routes--pass in the foreground. The bust of John J. Bagley is at the right edge of the frame. The M.R. Leonard Furniture Company and C.W. Marvin Piano Company are both visible in the background. "1896" is handwritten on verso.
