Black and white photographic print depicting a southward view along Woodward Avenue, taken from John R Street. Along the east side of Woodward are signs for a bleachery, the British and American Employment Office, and J. Younghusband the dentist. The Godfrey Block containing Harvey's Drugs, Cohen's and Keck, Winterhalter and Company is across the street, at the corner of Woodward and Grand River Avenue. A large sign for Hugo Hill, Millinery is further down the west side of Woodward. Horse-drawn streetcars, one of which bears and advertisement for Banner chewing tobacco, pedestrians, and horse carriages are in the streets. The waterfront is visible in the distance.
