Black and white photo of the exterior of the Detroit Historical Museum, on the corner of Woodward Avenue and West Kirby Street, as taken from across Woodward. A group of people are lined up in front of the revolving door at the Woodward entrance. A sign on the lawn lists a War of 1812 exhibit; an exhibit entitled, "Historic Citizen - Albert Kahn;" and an exhibit entitled, "The Little Things in Life (Toys)" as the November short term exhibits. A banner reading, "Fort Wayne Military Museum," several flags, and mannequins in historic military uniforms are displayed in the window facing Woodward on the right. Flags representing the United States, France, and Great Britain are flown from poles lining the front walkway. "City of Detroit, Report & Information, M-988-1, Photographic," is stamped on the verso.
