Business names that are visible include: Hudson's, English Woolen Mills, Mary Lee Candies, Hyman's School of Dancing, Frank & Seder, Annis Furs, Dittrich Furs, Himelhoch Brothers and Company, Tuttle & Clark, and Grinnell Bros. Pianos. The entrance to the David Whitney Building is visible at the far right side of the photo. Handwriting on the verso shows "Woodward Avenue looking south from Grand Circus Park." There is some additional handwritten text on the verso that references window frames and various colors, but it does not appear to have any specific relevance to the subject of the photo.
