Sepia-toned glossy photo of the fire tug, DETROITER. The view shows the port side of the vessel underway (probably on the Detroit River). Several crewmembers are standing on the foredeck and one fireman is operating a fire hose nozzle above the pilothouse. Handwriting on the verso shows "Detroiter, Detroit's first fire tug; wooden, built at Toledo, 1893."
