Pedestrians linger around the entrance to the store. Printed on the recto in the lower right corner is the image sequence number and date, "41399, Nov. 7, 1940." Also, stamped on the verso, "Smith Brothers, Commercial Photographers, Arcadia Building, Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Michigan."
