Print, Photographic

Black and white photo of a limited class hydroplane being lifted out of the water upside down by the stern. The crane is attached to a salvage boat with the words "U S Marine Salvage" printed on the side. The photo was taken on the Detroit River, probably in the 1940s during a race, as two other raceboats can be seen running in the background. The Belle Isle shoreline can also be seen with the Belle Isle Bridge at the far right of the picture.
