Print, Photographic

Black and white photo taken from an elevated position overlooking the intersection of Lafayette Avenue, Michigan Avenue, and Griswold Street, presumably taken from City Hall facing northwest. A traffic tower stands in intersection in the foreground at the bottom of the frame. In the block north of Lafayette, and south of Michigan are Dr. McArthur, dentist; Gorman's; the United Cigar Stores Company, and the Lafayette Building. Dr. Adams, dentist; the Garton Fisher Wills Company; King Wah Lo; Gerson's Diamonds, the People's Outfitting Company, and the Book-Cadillac Hotel are on the north side of Michigan. A drug store, another dentist, and a jeweler are on the west side of Griswold, north of the intersection. Cars, pedestrians, and Department of Street Railways streetcars crowd the streets. "66090," is printed in the lower right corner of the image.
