In the block north of Lafayette, and south of Michigan are Dr. McArthur, dentist; Gorman's; the United Cigar Stores Company, and the Lafayette Building. Dr. Adams, dentist; the Garton Fisher Wills Company; King Wah Lo; Gerson's Diamonds, the People's Outfitting Company, and the Book-Cadillac Hotel are on the north side of Michigan. A drug store, another dentist, and a jeweler are on the west side of Griswold, north of the intersection. Cars, pedestrians, and Department of Street Railways streetcars crowd the streets.
