Dr. Ralph J. Bunche, UN Under-Secretary for Special Political Affairs, currently on an informal tour of UN Emergency Force installations, today visited administrative units located at the UNEF maintenance area in Rafah, southern end of the Gaza Strip.
Here, at the UNEF hospital in Rafah run by a Norwegian medical company, Dr. Bunche (2nd from right) visits Trooper Gerry Pang, member of Royal Canadian Dragoons Recce Squadron, who was injured while on duty along the International Frontier. The accident occurred when a ferret scout car was blown up on an anti-tank mine. At extreme right of the group is Lt. Colonel C.H.R. Eger of Norway, Chief of the UNEF Hospital. At lest is Lt. General E.L.M. Burns, UNEF Commander.
