Photograph (and 1 print negative). The black and white photo shows an early fire truck that is parked in front of a fire station building which is Engine Company No. 11 on Gratiot Avenue. Handwriting on the verso of the print negative shows "Packard Chemical & Hose Wagon, DFD - 1922. In service 1929, retired 1938. Engine 11, Gratiot. From Clarence Woodard." A poster for the 1934 film, "Melody in Spring," is visible in the left background on the side of an adjacent building.
