Two female mannequins stand opposite sides of an archway, a hand-painted image of a woman in Victorian dress is featured; the mannequins are dressed in the latest fashions, two-piece women's suits, fragrances and a handbag are also featured. Signage between the mannequins reads, "Forstmann's Wools in Venetian Colors; The velvet-trimmed town suit and the costume suit by Ben Reig; Better Dresses Third Floor." Printed on the bottom edge of the photograph are the store name, photograph sequence number and name of photographer, "B. Siegel Co., 23923-x, Davis B. Hillmer." Hand-written on the verso, "B. Siegel Co. Sept. 2, 1949."
