The photo has been retouched to add flat grey shading to the side of Hudson's Big Store on the left, another building just left of center, and parts of the sidewalk, street, and parts of the roof of Heine's. Signs for a custom tailor and W.E. Ballmar's Contractor and Builder Jobbing are visible to the right. Several pedestrians are on the sidewalk, as are a bicycle and a barber pole.
