On the corner of Michigan Avenue and Woodward are the Eagle Art Gallery; Aberle and Fox, Real Estate and Insurance; Lockbihler and Dennis, Hats and Caps; a store advertising "Whiskies, Free and Bond;" L.L. Farnsworth, Boots, Shoes, and Rubbers; Hudson and Symington, Furniture; and the Fisher Block, housing Marratt's Photograph Gallery, and bearing signs for candy and Dr. Shilling's Corsets. Along Woodward, wrapping around to Cadillac Square are Mills and Barker Furniture; J.H. Black and Company, Carpets and Curtains; Wright, Kay & Company, Manufacturing Jewelers; the Detroit Opera House, housing J.L. Hudson which is advertising a closing out sale; Hull Brothers Family Grocery; Chas. H. Werner, Crockery and Glassware.
