The fire truck is painted red and "Detroit Fire Department" is shown in gold-colored lettering on the side along with the Roman number, "X," on the driver's side door. The left side hood over the engine is open and two firemen appear to be re-coiling hose near the right front corner of the truck. Handwritten text on the verso shows "Detroit, F-26, 1950 Seagrave, 1000 gpm." and "4-36, Mutza." Additional handwritten text notes: "Seagrave used 'waterfall grille' 1937-1951."
