Print, Photographic

Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print depicting the corner of Woodward Avenue and Michigan Avenue as viewed from an elevated position above Campus Martius. Sander's in on the corner beneath the striped awnings. To the right on Woodward is the Fisher Block containing Marratt's Photograph Gallery and Central Drug Store. J.L. Hudson's is next door. Along Michigan are the Eagle Art Gallery, Photographs; Sol. S. Bateson and Brother, Tailors; John W. Fox, Real Estate and Fire Insurance; Elias Abelle, Real Estate and Fire Insurance; McNamara and Siford Signs; and the Hotel Cadillac. Several figures from the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument are visible at the bottom left, and beyond is the base of a moonlight tower, which rises along the left edge. Horse-drawn streetcars, carriages, and pedestrians are in the street. The photo is mounted on off-white cardstock matting with an embossed frame. "90-94" handwritten on verso.
