Sander's in on the corner beneath the striped awnings. To the right on Woodward is the Fisher Block containing Marratt's Photograph Gallery and Central Drug Store. J.L. Hudson's is next door. Along Michigan are the Eagle Art Gallery, Photographs; Sol. S. Bateson and Brother, Tailors; John W. Fox, Real Estate and Fire Insurance; Elias Abelle, Real Estate and Fire Insurance; McNamara and Siford Signs; and the Hotel Cadillac. Several figures from the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument are visible at the bottom left, and beyond is the base of a moonlight tower, which rises along the left edge.
