Cabinet card bearing a sepia-toned photo of a Civil War veterans' parade rounding Campus Martius, and proceeding down Fort Street, as taken from a point above the south corner of Woodward Avenue and Fort facing northeast. Columns of men in uniforms march down the street, as spectators line the sidewalks. The banner-draped Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, one of the fountains on the lawn of City Hall, the Detroit Opera House, and the First and Second Williams Blocks on the corner of Monroe Street and Cadillac Square are in the background. The card has a black backing and gold trim. "Richard P. Joy" is handwritten on the verso.
