Featured in the display are two female mannequins dressed in 1880s fashions, each mannequin is flanking a placard of President Chester A. Arthur. The placard reads, "Chester Arthur 1881-1855, Ten Presidential Terms Since We Began, 'My sole ambition is to enjoy the confidence of my country's men,'-Chester Arthur; The Kern Store has enjoyed the confidence of this community for forty-one years." Signage in the central foreground also reads, "The Fashions of President Arthur's Time." Signage in the right foreground reads, "Founders Month Sale Begins Friday August 29th, In Forty-One Years, No Sale Like This!"
