The exhibit features home furnishings, including a rocking chair, organ, phonograph, framed wall hangings, and chaise lounge, as well as mannequins adorned in clothing from the time period. Typed on the verso, "1900 Parlor, Period Rooms, July 27, 1954, Wayne U. Photo. TURN OF THE CENTURY is reflected in this parlor scene. The rocking chair had an important part in the home life then, a circumstance that recently has enjoyed a renaissance."
