Black and white photo of the freighter VALLEY CAMP in Sault Ste. Marie, set up as a museum ship. A ramp, flanked by two large buoys, and several flag poles, leads into a door cut into the port side of the boat's hull. In the foreground, the sign for the museum is posted, including a stylized rendering of the bow of the boat, the museum's hours, and a note that, "proceeds from the Valley Camp Tours are designated for local historical preservation as planned by the nonprofit corp Le Sault De Saint Marie Historical Site, Inc." "Le Sault De Saint Marie Historical Site, Inc.," is also painted on the freighter's aft cabin. The freighter retains its Republic Steel Corporation smokestack decoration. "Michigan Travel Commission (Credit Line Appreciated) Negative Number 2883, Michigan Travel Commission, Lansing, Michigan 48913," is stamped on the verso.
