Print, Photographic

Black and white aerial photo of Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, as viewed from a point to the southwest. A radio tower to the northeast of the lighthouse, and the grounds to the west are also visible. Several marks have been made around the edges of the photo and over the portion showing the western grounds in red grease pencil. A typewritten caption, pasted to the verso, reads, "Old Mackinac Point lighthouse once guided ships through Straits of Mackinac. Built in 1892, it was disestablished in 1957 after the Mackinac Bridge opened. It is now a museum." A handwritten note on the verso indicates that the image was run in the June 1964 issue of Motor News, on page 13.
